I love my career as a real estate agent!

I have had several careers through the years and being in the real estate business is my favorite!


My first career was with IKEA. I started with the company working part-time and was promoted to store manager with in 5 years. The culture at IKEA, from the owner all the way through every co-worker in the company, was that everyone plays an integral part of every success. I apply that philosophy to my real estare career - everyone plays an integral part in every successful transaction. 


My next career was as a licensed stock broker. I worked with the branch manager at Burns Fry, assisting in the management of client's investment portfolios. I was also involved in hiring and training new stock brokers. Exemplary customer sevice and excellent communication skills were required to succeed in this career. I honed these skills while working as a stock broker and have applied them to my career in real estate. 


For several years I chose to not work full time. I was able to stay at home and raise our 4 children and manage our very busy household! I volunteered during these years and was involved in many of my children's activities, never a dull moment! 


When my children were older it was now time for me to follow a life long desire -- to become a Realtor. I thouroughly enjoy working with my clients, to sell their homes and help them find a new one. Every day I meet new people and new challenges and I love it!


I understand that selling your home is going to be one of the largest transactions in your life. I will use various marketing strategies for your home and negotiate the top sale price for you. Since obtaining my real estate license I am continually updating my skills by taking courses and additional training. I have taken the following courses and received these designations:




SRS - Seller Representative Specialist 

A designation course that provides extensive skill development and resources to help real estate professionals represent the best interests of their sellers in today's changing marketplace. 


ABR - Accredited Buyer's Representative  

A designation course providing advanced education for Realtors to elevate skills and knowledge in the home buying process. Holding the ABR designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. 



A certification program that teaches Realtors how to effectively use advanced technogies and social media strategies to improve their business, expand their capabilities, increase their reach and ultimately to better assist their clients. 


Client Negotiations 

A certification course that provided additional skills and techniques to further develop negotiating skills and strategies. 





My Real Estate Business

I joined Re/Max Excellence as soon as I was a licensed Realtor. Our office has over 150 agents, a huge network I can rely on when looking for properties for my clients to buy OR to tell about the properties my clients are selling.

We have mortgage brokers who work out of our office as well as a lawyer who specializes in real estate. I have several contacts for home inspectors, financing, lawyers, home staging and trades people.
